Celebrating the wines of Cain Vineyard & Winery, we are excited to have Chef Sujan Sarkar from ROOH Restaurant in San Francisco preparing an incredible 5-course menu to pair with the wines. Chef Sarkar is a Michelin star chef from London who recently opened ROOH in San Francisco which has quickly become one of San Francisco’s most exciting dining destinations.
The evening will start with a Champagne Chateau de Bligny reception, followed by 5 Cain Vineyard & Winery wines elegantly paired with Chef Sarkar’s menu. This is an extraordinary pairing of wine and food that should not be missed.

SUJAN SARKAR, Executive Chef
Chef Sarkar is a Times Chef of the Year in India and has run two of the country’s most successful restaurants, Ek Bar a modern Indian gastro bar, awarded the 2016 best new cocktail bar in the world by Condé Nast Traveler UK, as well as Olive Bar and Kitchen. He is also well-known for his work in London at Automat, Almada, Michelin starred Galvin at Windows, and in Dubai for opening Tresind.
At his latest restaurant, ROOH in San Francisco, Sarkar delicately combines the country’s rich traditional and regional flavors with the best local Northern California ingredients, and modern techniques in his picture-perfect dishes. The progressive Indian restaurant located in the city’s SoMa district was recently awarded three stars by the San Francisco Chronicle.
