The 4 days
of Vintage Albuquerque 2007 will extend
from Wednesday, June 20th through
Saturday, June 23rd. Wednesday’s opening
night gala at Zinc Wine
Bar & Bistro in
Albuquerque’s Nob Hill will feature Spottswoode wines at a dinner for 100 hosted by
Honorary Chair Beth Novak Milliken.
Guest chef for the evening will be Cindy
Pawlcyn, owner & executive chef at Napa’s Mustard’s Grill.
Eight winemaker dinners will be held on Thursday, June
21st. Participating restaurants and wineries: Ambrozia/Ch.
Potelle; Artichoke Café/Londer Vineyards & Handley
Cellars; Brasserie La Provence/Wines of Southern France;
Gruet Steakhouse/Pine Ridge; Marcello’s Chophouse/Penfolds;
Prairie Star/Wines of Spain- Ray Vigil; Savoy/Champagne
Taittinger & Roda; Seasons Rotisserie/Hess Collection;
Vivace/Casa Rondeña; Yanni’s/Rodney Strong. The Grand Tasting for some 800 attendees on Friday
featuring 25 restaurants and a like number of wineries
will be held at the Hotel
Albuquerque at Old Town,
800 Rio Grande Blvd. NW.
Vintage Albuquerque activities will
culminate on Saturday, June 23rd with a
winetasting, silent auction, live
auction and dinner for 450 on the
grounds of the award-winning Prairie
Star
Restaurant in
Bernalillo, a few miles north of
Albuquerque. The ambiance created by
early
summer weather and the majestic Sandia
Mountains in the distance is truly
something to behold.
